Credit Union Robbery Similar To Movie Heist

There may be a Hollywood connection to a Friday morning robbery at the Sac Credit Union in Plattsmouth.

Some of the tactics police say resemble those from a movie released two years ago. The robbery led to some banks and businesses closing their doors and every school in Plattsmouth went on lock down. Teachers stood at every door of each school, making sure everyone was safe.

Meanwhile, law enforcement was investigating a crime scene that seemed to have come from the 2010 Ben Affleck movie ?The Town.?

?He just asked me to include that in the press release, hoping somebody displaying those kinds of activities, a fixation with the movie, probably would call in, give us lead,? said Plattsmouth Police Chief Steve Rathman.

Police do have surveillance pictures of the two masked, armed men who broke into the credit union around 6:45 a.m. Plattsmouth is a small town and word of the robbery spread quickly.

Tina Kindelin was at work near the credit union when she heard the news. ?When I heard where it was at I was like, oh my God, it?s right behind the woods over here so I locked all the doors. It was pretty scary, I'll tell you. Plus everybody kept calling here, are you okay? My mom was on the phone with me, you want me to come up? I said no, but stay on the phone.?

Police are working with the FBI in this investigation.
